Hello!
We’re Steve and Danielle — husband and wife, parents to two amazing kids and the founders of The Refillery. Our journey toward a cleaner, low-waste lifestyle started like many others: with a shift in perspective after becoming parents. Suddenly, the ingredients in our home and the impact of our choices mattered more than ever. We wanted a better, simpler life for our kids — one rooted in nature, community and intention — so we packed up and moved to Tennessee to live off the land and find a like-minded community that shared our values.
But along the way, we realized something: access to clean, affordable home and self-care products isn't a given for everyone. Yet no matter who you are or where you live, most of us share the same wish — to give our families the best and make a positive impact in the world. That’s why we created The Refillery: to make toxin-free, sustainable living simple, accessible and meaningful.
Danielle comes from a long line of women who knew the value of a good container and a "waste not, want not" mindset. Her grandma saved every jar, her mom was the ultimate recycler, and that practical creativity lives on in everything The Refillery does. Steve, a former firefighter and talented carpenter, is the master of repurposing — always giving broken tools and old materials a second life. In fact, on one of our very first dates, Steve took me (Danielle) to a little shop that sold toxin-free goods… and the spark was more than just romantic, it lit the path we'd one day walk together.
Today, we pour our hearts into The Refillery with a deep love for local makers, a drive to reduce waste and a passion for helping others live a low-tox, scratch-made life. It’s our way of doing good, for our people and the planet.
Our container runneth over and our hope is that we can help yours runneth over too.
