Product Information
Product Information
Moso bamboo, known as the giant bamboo or timber bamboo, has been used for centuries to fashion buildings, flooring and culinary tools. The young shoots are often prepared into Asian dishes.
We used this beautiful and renewable plant to create our Moso Bamboo Soap Shelf, a perfect dry resting spot for the DISH BLOCK® dish washing soap.
Due to the natural bamboo, there may be slight variations in color, texture and size.

Materials + Sustainability
Bamboo grown without pesticides. Glue to hold the sides together. Sealed with a water-based polyurethane (non-plastic, synthetic material similar to rubber).
Bamboo is considered a grass, so no trees are needed to create this product. Bamboo grows extremely fast and is considered a renewable crop.
Storage + Care
Storage + Care
Place in an area where it can drain or elevate to keep out of standing water. Clean it off occasionally with mild soap and water (dish soap is fine) and let it dry out.
Use + Disposal
Use + Disposal
It will need replacement with time. Each soap dish typically lasts several months but this will vary depending on your placement, if you allow it to sit in water and your climate and humidity.
Recycle at curbside with wood products if your city has a program that allows woods such as construction wood. Due to the water based varnish material it is not compostable.
